My new favorite thing?! I am amazed at the difference and that you were able to do it inside! That is awesome! Doesn’t almost everybody have that old fake brass stuff somewhere in their house?!
I almost took it out to install a more updated fixture. This morning, the upcycle of the day was something rusty. I posted the pic just for fun and folks liked it. So I had to backtrack to a few months BB (before blogging) lol. I could find everything except before photos of the fixture. My bad. But I posted it anyway. Glad you like it.😊
How cool! I would have never known. I probably would have set it in the back yard for a year to rust itself 🙂 Probably smart with electrical stuff, huh? ha 🙂 Turned out great!
Haha.. Thx. Well, you know me… Quickest and easiest way from point A to point B. What was really amazing is how the Iron paint gripped. I really do think just about any surface could be rusted….even Kleenex boxes!! Lol!! 😉😉😉
ha ha..i do love my kleenex boxes 🙂 And sorry it’s confusing…my daughter’s name is Maggie…i stole her name for the blog! I’m Jill but I will respond to any name 🙂
Very cool style and great pictures, Susie! Our master bath has a brushed silver fixture, and there is no exhaust fan (only a window) so it has apparently rusted itself over time – HAHA! Even easier!
Hi Linda,
I got my kit at Home Depot a few years ago, but last summer they said they didn’t carry it anymore. I haven’t checked other home improvement or craft stores. Also…have you checked Amazon?
You find the best stuff! I will be trying this!

Is the kit you used sold @ WalMart or hardware stores?
